Ed Cooper Photography
PORTFOLIO #1

The images that appear on this page are some samples of my general landscape photography, not my mountain images. The following two portfolios of images were scanned from a brochure advertising our stock photography. In addition there are individual photos appearing on some of the other pages. A much larger number of mountain images, my specialty, appear on the MOUNTAINS, MOUNTAINS #2, and MOUNTAINS #3 pages.

These photographs are reproduced from a brochure about Ed Cooper Photography.
A description of them follows; the numbers refer to the rows across; i.e.,

    National Forest in Oregon's Cascade Mountains. [H & V]
  5. 1A4350-A4 Washington State's San Juan Islands seen from Mt. Erie. This is my
favorite viewpoint of the islands. This was a particularly striking sunset. [H only]
  6. 1A5224 Cannon Beach along Oregon's north coast. This is a favorite subject
    among photographers. [H & V]
  7. 1M4074 This is actually a VERTICAL picture. Seen here is lady fern in the rain
forest of Olympic National Park, Washington. [V only]
  8. 1M4882 This is also a VERTICAL picture. Sunburst seen through snow covered
trees at Washington State's Mt. Rainier National Park. Everything appears
so clean in the winter. The mountains glisten. [H & V]
  9. 102806 Hay bales north of Kamloops in North Thompson River Valley, British
Columbia. This is an example of a scene I saw while driving, that cried

V means available in vertical format.

    1. 2M6709 Half Dome reflected in the Merced River, Yosemite National Park, California. [H & V]
    2. 1M5613 Sunburst over Crater Lake (National Park), Oregon. [V only]
    3. 1M4649-A5 Mother and child in field of flowers (arrowleaf balsamroot).
This is actually my wife Debby and my son Matthew when he was a young
child. I occasionally have members of the family in pictures. Taken on the
eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in Washington. [H & V]
    4. 1A5702 Wheatfields in eastern Oregon near Pendleton. There is a nice
placement of farm buildings here. [H & V]
    5. Lumahai Beach on the north shore of Kauai, Hawaiian Islands.
Kauai is my favorite of all the islands, though it is no hardship to spend time
on any of the other islands. [H & V]
    6. 1M6208 Ponderosa pine trees along the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada
Mountain Range in California, in Inyo National Forest. The bark of these
trees makes them a great photographic subject. [V only]
    7. 1M6925 Desert in bloom in Southern California, April 1978. Mt. San Jacinto,
10,786', is in background. Not too many springs offer such a rich bloom as
did 1978. I have been there in other years, both before and after (most
recently in April of 1997), and have never seen at other times the combination
      of snow-covered peaks and flower-covered desert seen here. [H & V]
    8. 130706 Windmill, 1771, in East Hampton, Long Island, New York. I delight
in viewing and photographing old historic structures. [V only]
    9. 1M4871 Beargrass in Mt. Rainier National Park, Washington. [H & V]
