1. 2M6709 Half Dome reflected in the Merced River,Yosemite
National Park,
California. [H & V]
2. 1M5613 Sunburst over Crater Lake (National Park),
Oregon. [V only]
3. 1M4649-A5 Mother and child in field of flowers (arrowleaf
balsamroot). This
is actually my wife, Debby, and my son Matthew when he was
about 3 ½.
I occasionally have members of the family in pictures. Taken
on the
eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in Washington. [H &
V]
4. 1A5702 Wheatfields in eastern Oregon near Pendleton.
There was a nice
placement of farm buildings here. [H & V]
5. 100235 Lumahai Beach on the north shore of Kauai,
Hawaiian Islands. Kauai
is my favorite of all the islands, though it is no hardship
to spend time on any
of the other islands. [H & V]
6. 1M6208 Ponderosa pine trees along the eastern slopes
of the Sierra Nevada
Mountain Range in California, in Inyo National Forest. The
bark of these
trees make them a great photographic subject. [V only]
7. 1M6925 Desert in bloom in Southern California, April
1978. Mt. San Jacinto,
10,786', is in background. Not too many springs offer such
a rich bloom as
did 1978. I have been there in other years, both before and
after (most
recently in April of 1997), and have never seen the combination
of snow
covered peaks and flower-covered desert seen here. [H &
V]
8. 130706 Windmill, 1771, in East Hampton, Long Island,
New York. I delight in
viewing and photographing old historic structures. [V only]
9. 1M4871 Beargrass in Mt. Rainier National Park,
Washington. [H & V]
